| Fantastic for anyone travelling to Orlando - (5/5) | My husband bought this book as we were travelling to Orlando with friends. We had been to Orlando previously, but it was over 7 years ago.
This book it packed with really useful tips and hints. We planned all our activities based on the quietest days to travel - and we had a great time, the longest ride we waited for was 20 minutes. However it was September and this is usually one of the quiestest times to travel.
Every day the book would be with us, I have since passed onto my friends to use, definately worth the money. It even has discount cards in the back, which we used at one of the Retail Outlets - 15% off Adidas, as well as lots of other stores.

| Absolutely the best book/guide to Orlando and WDW - (5/5) | Been on 4 trips to WDW and each time we bought a new version of this book. I have recommended it to friends and they have also come back saying the books was brilliant and full of great advice. A must buy if you are going to this great place. |
| Helpful in some respects. - (3/5) | This book is a great resource for things that many Brits will be unfamiliar with in the USA - tipping customs, WDW hotels, attractions outside of the major Disney/Universal/Seaworld parks, and it is definitely something I would recommend to the first timer - but in conjunction with other resources (books, websites).
My major gripe is that the touring advice isn't particularly good, and nowhere near as thorough as it could be. Not only that, but the attraction descriptions/reviews sound like something straight out of Disney rather than objective look from an outsider.
If it's your first time going, I would recommend this ALONG WITH The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World, a visit to the DISboards (online) and WDWinfo (online), and a subscription to TourGuideMike (again, online). |
| Lots of info = a rather large book - (4/5) | I purchased this guide book based on the reviews that it is a wealth of knowledge - they were not wrong! I can see huge benefits of having this book to hand.
However, it's so full of information, that the book is chunky. It's not gigantic, but big enough not to fit in the average handbag and certainly not for pockets. I'll be packing it with me for reading in the hotel but won't be carrying it around!. |
| Don't go without this - (5/5) | Was recommended by a friend for our 1st trip to Walt Disney, Orlando. We spend the 1st week following this bible and going to the quietest days for the parks, it worked a dream, and we'd started to think that it wasn't as busy as some people had suggested. 2nd week we just "popped" into Magic Kingdom, on what turned out to be graded as a busy day, and they were right.... people everywhere, and very hectic. We vowed not to stray from the book again!
It makes your trip even more enjoyable.
