Really apart from the masses of screaming girls what has this series done?
The writing style is dreadful; the reimagining of vampires and werewolves is disgraceful sparkly bloody vampires, you madam have effectively slapped the myths in the face read Dracula then have a go at re-reimagining vampires.

I purchased this book a long time ago WAY before the film hit the big screens and when all the `hype' started it put me off reading the book and watching the film, I wrote it off to be a typical teenage craze!! Oh what a fool I was ...

I fortunately got snowed in just before Christmas with my two sisters and had to watch twilight with them, as soon as the credits came up at the end I couldn't run fast enough up the stairs to get my book!

This has been the most addictive read I have read since Harry Potter! - I am not comparing it to Harry Potter I am only saying that I haven't been able to become totally engrossed in a book since HP.

The story is based around the `normal' Bella Swan and her attraction to Edward Cullen and his family.

Twilight, written from Bella's perspective, introduces the identity of the Cullen's through Bella's determination to be with Edward. Although the relationship between Bella and Edward is seen to be a first love when reading the book not only do you fall in love with Edward you become addicted to his charm and charisma!

Be careful when you read this book, ensure you have at least New Moon on standby as you can easily finish this book in one sitting as you cannot put it down!

i read it again and again...and i think it should be more than four times now.
Its a really good story, believe me i was reading it non-stop and didnt realised that 8 hours has passed, yes it took 8 hours to finish it..and when you finished you will hope you havent.

This was an amazing book, and a brilliant series, the twilight world totally encapsualates you, and u will sytart looking at your boyfriend thinking SPARKLE...DAMMIT lol, i would reccomend this to anyone of any age, it is totally universal, the tention that mayer creates, has u on agde , i seemed to be willing them to get closer all the way through, it is a romantic vamire novel, i found myself wanting more when they finished, i hope she will write another :-)

Being a latecomer to the Twilight phenomenon, I was unsure if the books would live up to the hype. I was not disappointed! From the first page, this book had me captivated. It is a real page turner and an easy book to read. I bought the DVD half way through reading the book but didn't watch it until I had finished reading. I must say like all these things the book was much better than the movie. I think this book is suitable for many different age groups. I have since bought the rest of the books in the saga and Im about to start reading them all over again! you wont be disappointed.
