Amazon Editorial Review
A gluten-free cookbook. It offers a large selection of tasty, feel good recipes that are specially designed for those who suffer from Coeliac disease. It includes such recipes as crispy spiced pork with maple syrup and a lemon and leek risotto.

Amazon Customer Reviews:

Good recipe book with a serious quibble! - (4/5)
This book's strength is that it contains lots of new ideas that just happen to be gluten-free, rather than concentrating solely on trying to reproduce other recipes without the usual gluten. Having said that, there are recipes for cakes, bread and pastry, which contain special ingredients, but this makes the book suitable for people living gluten free as well as others looking for inspiration to feed gluten-free friends, without the need for too many unusual ingredients.

But I'd like to get a gripe out of the way too! The book has a chapter of vegetarian recipes, but not only does Phil commit the very regular sin of including parmesan cheese without explaining that `parmesan' is never suitable for vegetarians, but he also includes anchovies in one of his recipes. He really would have been better off not having a veggie section if his expertise in dietary requirements doesn't spread to vegetarianism! Especially as there are vegetarian recipes throughout the book, so these recipes could have been included elsewhere.

Still, I've tried a couple of the recipes and have a list of several more I'm keen to turn my hand to, so there's lots here to enjoy.

Informative - (4/5)
Lovely book.
The only "sad thing" so far as I am concerned the receipes are a bit on the posh side for us (seeing as my husband will have to eat whatever I cook !! ).

skirrel - (5/5)
Simply stunning, there are lovely recipes that are very easy to use, I'm not keen on all the baked goods but thats down to personal tastes. Easy to use and insitefull for some one whos still coming to terms with having to go with out all the good things in my food-life. Definately better than most of the books on the market.

Serously good - (5/5)
I first looked through the reciepes and thought they looked okay, another cookbook with nice pictures. Then I started reading in the front of the book, and was soon convinced that the writer really, really CARES! He is full of knowledgde and knows how to share it in a positive way, he has done a great job to give us the best of the best! This is not just another book made because someones kid or husband got some kind of allergy, this is genuine interest and care!

Great idea but diassapointing - (1/5)
If you're happy with general, naturally gluten free, recipes such as how to make frozen cappuccinos and pot roast chicken then don't bother with this book. The things I find hard to make are those with gluten based products such as bread and cakes and these are very much lacking in this book. Something that made me feel that some of the recipes may have been lifted from other work which was not aimed at gluten free food was the fact that the suggested accompaniment to the pickled mackerel was 'a couple of slices of sourdough bread', hmmmm. Recipes are quite complex and I found it hard to find some of the ingredients.
