Lara's about to get married? Whatever. I'm innifferedt to this kind of news. But I'd like to comment about the whole model-turns-Supermodel thing.I personally do not want the return of Supermodel. First, because I think we already have too much celebrity, too many people have been talked about over TV and the Internet, even if each had only been hot for two weeks or so on the spotlight.Second, because no model could stay Super for long anymore. We have discovered so much new talents, so much new faces, new vibe, and, inevitably, new short-term celebrities. I think it's a waste to put someone on the pedestal, make her Super, just for the good old glamour days back in the 1990 s (a la Naomi and friends). So, if Lara's marrying a popular face, let's be happy for her and treat her normally, like a friend of ours who just got married. |
